Description

We are on the lookout for a Senior Accountant for a long-term contract role that would be supporting our client based in Lakewood, New Jersey. In this role, your primary responsibility will be managing and reconciling accounts, maintaining balance sheets, and conducting bank reconciliations. This role is fully onsite (100%) in Lakewood, NJ.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the process of account reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Ensure proper maintenance and updating of balance sheet reconciliations.

• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to confirm the organization's financial position.

• Manage and maintain the general ledger to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Prepare and record journal entries to reflect the organization's financial transactions.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various financial analysis and reporting tasks.

• Participate in the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation

• Proficiency in bank reconciliations

• Familiarity with the general ledger and making journal entries

• Strong skills in using Microsoft Excel for accounting tasks

• Experience with month-end close procedures
