Job Description

One of Insight Global's clients is seeking a Senior Progress Open Edge Developer to join their Core Development Team. This position plays a key role in transitioning conceptual design into tangible software. This resource will work across all roles in the SDLC and are the outward facing liaison for the development team to other teams within the company. Their role internally to the development team is to organize, lead, and support developers in their work and identify opportunities for team improvement. Externally to the development team they coordinate and collaborate across team boundaries to ensure the activities of all teams are aligned and complementary.

Compensation:

$40/hr to $50/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on programming experience within OpenEdge 12 and Advanced Business Language (ABL)

• Strong experience with object oriented programming and concepts of encapsulation

• Experience implementing Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)

• Extensive knowledge with Web Services (SOAP and/or REST) and their corresponding tools

• Strong experience with industry standard source control tools, especially Git

• Hands-on experience within Eclipse IDE/Progress OpenEdge Developer Studio

• Knowledge of the windows operating environment.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or another related field null
