Confidential Employer Facilities and Machine Maintenance Technician in KING OF PRUSSIA, Pennsylvania

Dickson Investment Hardware is a metal casting company located in King of Prussia. We use injection molding and foundry equipment to create a wide variety of machine parts and specialty items. We're looking for a person who can perform a diverse set of tasks using a range of skills in caring for our facility and our machines.

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and proactive Facilities and Machine Maintenance Technician to join our team. This dual-role position involves maintaining the functionality and safety of the facility while ensuring that machinery operates efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to balance facility upkeep with machine maintenance duties.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilities Maintenance

  • Perform routine repairs, including basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and structural systems.
  • Address maintenance requests promptly to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  • Monitor and maintain the facility's safety standards, including fire alarms, security systems, and emergency protocols.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized facility repairs or upgrades.
  • Maintain records of facility inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance schedules.

Machine Maintenance

  • Conduct preventive maintenance on production equipment and machinery according to established schedules.
  • Troubleshoot and repair machinery malfunctions to minimize downtime.
  • Replace, install, and adjust machine parts as needed.
  • Maintain an inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables for machine repairs.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure optimal machine performance and address operational needs.
  • Document machine maintenance activities and report on equipment performance metrics.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Technical certification or High school diploma or equivalent with 1-3 years of experience

``` - Proven experience in facilities maintenance and/or machine maintenance roles. Some training will be provided. - Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. - Familiarity with plumbing, HVAC, and basic carpentry is a plus. - Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 pounds and work in physically demanding environments.
  • Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying temperatures.
  • Capable of standing, bending, and moving for extended periods.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time, 8 hours per day, starting at 6:00 a.m.
