The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is seeking a Semi Skilled Laborer to join our team within the Bureau of Abandoned Mine Reclamation. DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will assist the Bureau of Abandoned Mine Reclamation in the operation and maintenance of active and passive acid mine drainage treatment facilities to help abate and control acid mine drainage affecting the Toby Creek, Bennett Branch, and Sinnemahoning Creek watersheds. Work includes repairing and maintaining motors, mixers, pumps, and other equipment used in the process of acid mine drainage as well as monitoring inventory levels, inputting data into DEP's electronic data systems, and collecting water samples from off-site locations. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Salary:Most selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary listed. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Condition of Employment:

This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent. Other Requirements: You must meet the PA residency requirement.
