Staff Today, a Division of Health Advocates Network, is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to work at a facility in Johnstown, New York. These are registry positions with our company.

Pay Rate: $76 / hour

Shift details:

• Day/Evening Shift

Qualifications:

• A minimum of one year of acute care RN experience (Medical/Surgical, ER, ICU), an annual TB test and CPR certification is required.

• Previous experience/employment working in NYS DOCCS is a plus.

The Nurse's duties will include:

• assessing inmate and staff medical complaints

• taking off (noting) MD orders and prescriptions, entering lab work and creating requisitions

• administering medications

• end of shift narcotics, sharps and tool counts

• emergency sick call and emergency medical responses, utilize AED

• proficient with computers, Microsoft programs, and able to learn a DOS based program

• vaccinations

• wound care

• diabetic care

• inmate health teaching and evaluation
