Job Summary
In this role you will work closely with production, maintenance, engineering, IT, and vendors to design, construct, install, validate, and maintain equipment, software, and data acquisition systems throughout their lifecycles. Concentrations are on machine control, human machine interfaces and mechatronics systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Read PLC code and P&ID drawings to understand equipment operation for troubleshooting.
Able to write/ modify PLC code and HMI configurations.
Make modifications to configurations and parameters of VFDs, Servo Drives and any other programmable/configurable devices.
Create and modify pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and/or electrical systems.
Analyze data to understand the effectiveness of current systems and identify any areas for improvement.
Lead Automation projects that support business initiatives; utilize techniques and processes throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Write necessary documentation to design, purchase, install and maintain new equipment.
Work with maintenance, engineering, and vendors to create, install, and validate new equipment and systems.
Education
Four (4) year Electrical/ Mechanical/ Mechatronics/ Robotics Engineering Degree AND two (2) years programming experience with controls and instrumentation
1-3 Years of experience
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proficient in Rockwell based programming environments
Understanding of Siemens based programs with experience in other PLC platforms
Understanding of robotic platforms: FANUC, KUKA, ABB or UR
Experience leading Technical Projects and Initiatives
Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office based programs including Visio.
Have a functional understanding of cGMPs.
Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.
License and Certifications
Travel Requirements
10%: Up to 26 business days per year
Physical Requirements
Light-Exerting up to 20lbs/9kg of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force frequently constantly to move objects.
