BNP Paribas Vice President (Cyber Threat Intelligence) in Jersey City, New Jersey

Vice President (Cyber Threat Intelligence) for BNP Paribas RCC Inc. in Jersey City, NJ, to Function as a Vice President (Cyber Threat Intelligence) to evaluate threat intelligence for credibility, relevance, and exposure. Will collaborate with Cyber Threat Intelligence and Incident Response Teams in other geographic regions, and across BNP Paribas’s corporate entities. Will establish and maintain strategic relationships with local and federal government agencies as well as industry organizations to establish information-sharing capabilities. Will triage tactical, technical reporting in real time to determine its accuracy and identify threats of potential interest. Will monitor cyber threat intelligence from multiple sources for actionable indicators and information. Will evaluate threat intelligence for credibility, relevance, and exposure. Will maintain and correlate detailed threat actor profiles and groups on adversaries of interest and relevance to the firm, covering tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP), intent, goals, and strategic objectives that could support defensive mitigation, and hardening efforts. Will produce security alerts, bulletins, technical notifications, and vulnerability notes, regarding current vulnerabilities, exploits, and other security issues. Will maintain knowledge of the threat landscape by monitoring internal and external intelligence sources to assist in the creation of quarterly threat landscape briefings. Will participate in the development of the threat modeling processes and methodologies to test the firm’s resiliency to attacks across businesses, platforms, and applications. Will track actor groups (nation-state, criminal, hacktivist, and terrorist), incidents and campaigns conducted by threat actors against the bank. Will provide support to the Computer Security Incident Response team (CSIRT) during an incident. Will perform threat hunting by proactively and iteratively search through systems and networks to detect advanced threats. Will leverage threat intelligence to plan and scope threat hunt missions. Will coordinate with other teams to improve threat detection, response, and improve overall security posture of the bank. Will conduct malware analysis to examine a potentially malicious software and extract indicators of compromise (IOCs). Requires: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Intelligence and Security Studies or related field of study (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience in as a Vice President or related occupation with a focus on cyber threat intelligence or, alternatively, a Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Intelligence and Security Studies or related field of study (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Vice President or related occupation with a focus on cyber threat intelligence, including at least . Specific skills/other requirements - Demonstrated Expertise (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): Demonstrated expertise (DE) leveraging Kill Chain, Diamond Model of Intrusion, Advanced Persistent Threat, Third Party Risks, Cybercrime, Hacktivism, Malware and Ransomware, Social Engineering, Cyber Threat Intelligence, and Incident Response; (DE) examining security threats (including the tactics, techniques, and procedures of cyber threat actors) and conducting intelligence investigations through leveraging investigative tools; (DE) applying IT security concepts, with an emphasis on Security and Risk Assessment; (DE) with the Threat Intelligence Lifecycle; and (DE) applying networking concepts in an information security context, including emerging threats, attack methodologies, identifying and tracking cyber campaigns, threat hunting processes, and analyzing host and network-based logs.
