BNP Paribas Vice President (Applications Development) in Jersey City, New Jersey

Vice President (Applications Development) for BNP Paribas RCC Inc. in Jersey City, NJ, to Function as a Senior Developer within the Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) Functions Chief Information Officer (CIO) - Prime Brokerage IT. Will work in a fast-paced environment, interfacing with management, business, and senior technology members to identify requirements and provide business process automation ideas and solutions relevant to the project. Design and develop scalable and flexible applications. Document technical specifications and functional flows. Enforce technical architecture standards. Explain the functional and system requirements to the offshore development team. Responsible for being hands-on with various aspects of software development, including design, coding, UAT, and deployment. Escalate blocking issues to the appropriate level of management. Perform Level 3 support on rotation, investigating any issues, determining root causes, and achieving resolution. Will follow the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process, including the end-to-end development cycle from requirements analysis, coding, testing, and maintenance. Will support product releases.Requires: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five (5) years’ experience as a Vice President (Applications Development) or related occupation in software development within structured products of investment banking, Mutual and Hedge funds, NAV and risk calculations, Calculations of performance, and management fee for a portfolio or, alternatively, a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field of study (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years’ experience as a Vice President (Applications Development) or related occupation in software development within structured products of investment banking, Mutual and Hedge funds, NAV and risk calculations, Calculations of performance, and management fee for a portfolio. Specific skills/other requirements - Demonstrated Expertise: Demonstrated expertise (DE) with high-level technical design and solutions for the impacting project area and other applications; (DE) application development throughout the complete lifecycle, including performing architecture, analysis, design, coding, and code review; (DE) with service-oriented architecture (SOA), including REST- and SOAP-based services using JSON and XML messages; (DE) leveraging the following technologies: Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, XML, Junit, Mockito, Maven, GIT, Jenkins, Dynatrace, and JMS; DE with Web and Application servers, including Apache and Tomcat; and (DE) developing application software and performing unit testing on the solution as per the business requirements, using java, teamcity, unix spring, spring-batch, struts, junit, mockito, Oracle, DB2, SQL, PL/SQL, XML, elastic search, Mockito, http Rest API, Soap Web services, log4j, Google collections APIs, and Common collections APIs.
