Staff Accountant (Jersey City, NJ or work remotely in NJ) Responsible for year-end audits of financial statements in accordance with GAAP or other framework. Represent the firm in audit meetings with audit committee. Conduct budgeting, financial forecasting and application of different types of financial modeling based on the client needs. Develop business valuation models using different techniques of valuation. Prepare and file the tax returns for corporations, pass-through entities and nonprofits. Prepare and review the books of accounts of the profit and non-profit entities. Prepare relevant schedules as per GILTI provisions forming part of GILTI Calculation (Form 1118, 8992, 8993). Provide special services to support corporate clients in facilitating R & D Credit and employment-based credits such as WOTC and ERC. Prepare and file individual taxes with additional filing (FATCA, FINCEN 114, Gift tax returns, Form 3520). Assist clients with International Taxation and Income reporting in United States in accordance to DTAA. Represent clients to resolve IRS and State notices. Advise clients regarding financial strategy (Sec 1031 exchange), tax planning, risk management, accounting and short & long-term business planning decisions, international taxation compliance and tax accounting / provisions.
