Description

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team in Jersey City, New Jersey. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks including account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations. This role requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in software such as Microsoft Excel, anda large ERP system. This is a hybrid role in Jersey City.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzing and reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures

• Analyzing and preparing financial statements

• Financial / regulatory reporting

• Ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting tasks

• Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes

• Understanding and applying financial policies and procedures, and ensuring all financial transactions are executed in compliance with regulations

• Collaborating with team members to support overall department goals and objectives

• Financial Statement Preparation

• Assisting with other accounting projects as needed

• Ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met

• Balance Sheet reconciliations

• Working with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.

  Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

• Multi- State P& L experience

• 3+ years of experience

• Strong ERP and Excel systems

• Strong communication skills
