Our client, a leading financial services firm, is seeking a Python Data Engineer to join their team. As a Python Data Engineer, you will be part of the software development team supporting risk management initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Python Data Engineer
Location: Jersey City, NJ - Hybrid work schedule
Pay Range: $68.26 per hour (W2 Only)
What's the Job?
Work with a team of software developers focused on implementing Risk Calculation and a reporting framework.
Interface with Risk Managers, Business Analysts, and Middle office business users to gather requirements for enhancements and new features in the system.
Coordinate the software development and testing efforts (SDLC cycle) including release and post-release support as required.
Perform risk methodology enhancements and infrastructural enhancements.
Develop frameworks for calculating Risk Metrics using Python on a strategic firm-wide platform.
What's Needed?
5+ years of IT experience in developing enterprise-level applications in the Financial Domain.
Proficiency in Python and Object-Oriented Analysis and Design concepts.
Experience with risk calculations and models used in market risk.
Knowledge of implementing highly concurrent systems using distributed systems.
Understanding of different financial products and their derivatives, along with their pricing.
