Role: Private Equity & Hedge Fund Operations Specialist/ Alternative Investments Product Support Specialist

Location: Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week)

Position type: 3+ months with high possibility of extension/Conversion

Notes: The primary importance for me in terms of the qualifications is knowledge of alternative investments – hedge funds and private equity funds .

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Alternative Investments Product Support Specialist to join our team. This role will focus on supporting our Alternative Investments platform , with an emphasis on hedge funds and private equity funds . The ideal candidate will have experience in investment fund operations and be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

Hedge Fund (Feeders, Fund of Funds & Managed Accounts) Product Support

  • Assist with the fund launch process .

  • Oversee trade exceptions and FOP transfers .

  • Update and maintain various calendars and trackers (e.g., hedge fund feeder and FoF trading calendars).

  • Maintain and manage an organized list of funds on the platform with relevant details.

  • Document management , including maintaining product information, organizational documents, daily/monthly/annual reports, and other product-related materials.

Private Equity & Real Estate (PERE) Product Support

  • Support fund (feeder and fund of funds) bank account opening , including:

  • LEI and GIIN requests.

  • Coordination of tax forms (W-forms, Form 8832, etc.) .

  • Client Profile Questionnaire completion.

  • Coordinate documentation related to closings .

  • Maintain and manage a funds list and proper signature blocks .

Regulatory Reporting

  • Assist in preparing regulatory filing templates , including:

  • Collecting, organizing, and reconciling information.

  • Reformatting data to align with pre-existing templates.

  • Data entry and verification.

  • Prepare control checks for team review to ensure regulatory compliance.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Manage documentation related to regulatory reporting .

  • Contribute to process improvement projects and assist with various ad hoc projects .

  • Review and reconcile vendor invoices .

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, or Finance .

  • 4-6 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within hedge funds, private equity, or mutual funds .

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and work under tight deadlines .

  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and other Microsoft Office applications .

Personal Traits:

  • Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Self-motivated , eager to learn, and capable of working independently.

  • Strong research and organizational skills , with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Comfortable working with global teams across different time zones .
