BMW Of North America Paint and Body Person in Jersey City, New Jersey

The Paint and Body Person will perform body and paint preparation of vehicles and vehicle components as required in accordance with established standards and operating procedures. Additional duties include but not limited to:

Painting of individual parts and complete vehicles.

Repairing of Heavy damage vehicle

Ability to Identify damages and create estimates.

Polish, buff, nib, sand, reassemble and clean as necessary to complete repair of vehicle.

Responsible for the proper entry and update of all service orders, parts, and technician comments into the VMS Service Order System.

Responsible for work area safety and cleanliness.

Responsible for assigned tools and equipment.

Responsible for overall Quality inspection on vehicles repaired.

Responsible for the proper storage, tagging and returning of all replaced parts.

Perform additional duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Parts Ordering.

This position requires lifting and carrying up to 50 lb., driving, pulling, kneeling, reaching, standing, twisting, walking, climbing, pushing, squatting, hearing and exposure to variations in temperature and high noise. Overtime may be required based on business needs.

The starting hourly range for this role is: $45.89-$53.55 (per collective bargaining agreement).

Supplemental earning potential includes shift differential, overtime, and monthly eligible bonuses. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.

Vocational/Specialist training in automotive Body Repair.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

3 years' experience in Automotive Paint and Body Repairs.
