Kuehne+Nagel National Air Logistics Operations Manager in Jersey City, New Jersey

Your Role
As the manager of the national Business Unit Air logistics= Operation, you are responsible for achieving P&L targets related to profitability, conversion rate, Opex, and productivity. You collaborate with global teams to ensure regional adherence to regulatory and compliance guidelines. Additionally, you oversee local operations to ensure compliance with local regulations, including Dangerous Goods, Security, and Customs. Your role also involves driving operational process improvements and business transformation. Lastly, you ensure that customer business is executed according to their guidelines and that all operational KPIs related to quality are met or exceeded.
Your Responsibilities
Oversee 6 Direct reports at managerial level
Close cooperation with Business field stakeholders and local branch operations
Facilitate communication with customers, including customer visits, regularly scheduled calls and regular review meetings to track performance
Facilitate communication with Branch operations to ensure performance and P&L KPI’s are met
Guides and directs the activities of national, Branch and/or Area process managers
Drives and develops opportunities centered on enhanced customer service, streamlined operations, and P&L performance
Self-driven analysis of process- and performance related Key Performance Indicator’s with the help of the applicable systems to ensure milestones are being met
Report to National Air Logistics Manager
Your Skills and Experiences
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
5-10 years of Air logistics experience in the 3PL
5+ years in operations
5+ years in a leadership with remote managing experience
Certification in Dangerous goods (TSA regulations, Legal, Hazmat and compliance)

Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
