BNP Paribas Assistant Vice President (Software Development) in Jersey City, New Jersey

Assistant Vice President (Software Development) for BNP Paribas RCC Inc. in Jersey City, NJ. Will work in a fast-paced environment interfacing with management, business, and senior technology members to identify requirements and provide business process automation ideas and solutions relevant to the project. Design and develop scalable and flexible applications. Document technical specifications and functional flows. Enforce technical architecture standards. Explain the functional/system requirements to the offshore development team. Responsible for being hands-on with various software development including design, coding, UAT, and deployment. Escalate blocking issues to the appropriate level of management. Perform Level 3 support on rotation, investigating any issues, determining root causes and achieving resolution. Will follow the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process, including end-to-end development cycle from requirements analysis, coding, testing, and maintenance. Will support product releases. Requires: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience in as an Assistant Vice President (Software Development) or related occupation performing software development, designing and building high performance, high availability, scalable, distributed applications capable of supporting processing of large amount of data or, alternatively, a Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as an Assistant Vice President (Software Development) or related occupation performing software development, designing and building high performance, high availability, scalable, distributed applications capable of supporting processing of large amount of data. Demonstrated Expertise (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): Demonstrated expertise (DE) with the complete lifecycle of software development, including business requirement analysis, design, coding, and code review; (DE) with Object Oriented Programming Principals (OOPS) and architecture; (DE) with agile software development process using Confluence & Jira; (DE) with web services development including SOAP and Http REST APIs and Database operations including Sybase, Oracle, and SQL Server; and (DE) leveraging the following tools and technologies: Core-Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Multithreading, XML, Junit, Mockito, Maven, GIT, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Dynatrace, JMS, Autosys workload automation, App Dynamics, Kubernetes deployment, and BPM (Business process Management) Tool.
