Ellwood National Forge Welding Technician in Irvine, Pennsylvania

 

There are Welding Technician hourly positions in Irvine, PA, however from time to time maybe assigned to Corry/Warren.

JOB DUTIES: Operate welding equipment. Perform Mig, Tig, Flux Core, Stick and Sub Arc welding Measure dimensions of completed products or workpieces to verify conformance to specifications. Read work orders or other instructions to determine product specifications or materials requirements. Read and follow welding procedures Review blueprints or other instructions to determine operational methods or sequences. Feed materials, wire or products into or through equipment Load materials into Weld Station Visual examination of welds Maintain lot traceability and storage of filler metals. Align parts or workpieces to ensure proper assembly Layout parts to prepare for assembly Perform preventative maintenance duties associated to the proper function and operation of the Weld Area. Maintain working area in a clean, orderly and safe condition. Observe all safety rules and regulations. Attend all required meetings and trainings Perform all other duties as required. Regular attendance as scheduled is an essential function including working rotating shifts, 24/7 shift schedules and mandatory overtime. Minimum requirements: High School Diploma or Equivalent Minimum 2 years' experience in Welding Ability to work well with the team while also working independently Solid written and verbal communication skills Ability to read blueprints and basic machining drawings Detailed oriented and ability to organize and prioritize Strong Interpersonal skills and capable of working well with other departments PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Associate Degree, welding technology Through understanding of production welding and practices, capability and quality requirements.
