The Department of Corrections, State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Pine Grove is currently seeking a highly motivated Licensed Psychologist Manager to join our Psychology Department! DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Licensed Psychologist Manager for the Department of Corrections, you will be responsible for the planning, organizing, and directing of the psychological services program for the institution. This includes coordinating the psychological services program in the institution with other disciplines, developing and writing new policies and procedures for existing programs, and chairing the population Psychiatric Review Team. Additionally, you will participate as a standing member of the Clinical Review Team for suicides and attempted suicides, as well as perform psychological testing and evaluation of inmates. Furthermore, you will be responsible for supervising and participating in the work of subordinate psychological staff, which includes, but is not limited to: screening inmates, making appropriate referrals for evaluation and treatment, conducting psychological evaluations, and employing diagnostic techniques.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55. Salary:Candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $86,299.00 (before taxes). QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Licensed Psychologist MH or Psychologist; or One year of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness, mental retardation or behavioral dysfunction.

Special Requirement: You must possess a valid license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology or possession of a valid license to practice psychology as issued by another state with licensure requirements acceptable to the Board. Applicants with out-of-state licensure must obtain Pennsylvania licensure within one year of employment.

Other Requirements: PA residency requirementis currently waived for this title.

Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
