Pennsylvania State Job Bank Painter I in Imperial, Pennsylvania
*Job Summary: * The Painter I will be responsible for applying paint to dock levelers using high pressure paint guns, ensuring a high-quality finish and adherence to safety standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail and experience with industrial painting equipment and techniques.
Major Responsibilities/Activities:
- Operate and maintain industrial painting equipment, including spray guns (airless, conventional), and related tools.
- Apply coatings evenly and consistently to achieve a smooth, durable finish.
- Perform touch-ups and repairs as needed.
- Inspection of finished work to ensure it meets documented quality standards
- Monitor and control paint thickness and drying times.
- Document and report any defects or inconsistencies
- Ability to flex into other work areas as needed
- Must be willing to work overtime when needed.
Work with the highest level of safety
Minimum Requirements:
- High attention to detail
- Prioritization skills
- Ability to use hand tools
- Versatile in performing different manufacturing tasks/duties.
- Understanding of basic manufacturing processes
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Kanban, and 5S a plus
- Analytical problem solver
- Effective communicator
- Able to work in a team environment
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Essential Physical Functions:
- Be able to safely lift or move at least 50 lbs.
- Be able to safely climb stairs or ladder.
- Be able to work in cold or hot working conditions
- Must be able to Bend, Stoop, Squat, Kneel

The candidate may be required to use a variety of hand tools such as saws, drills, impact drivers, saws, pneumatic air guns, and tape measures.
