NO PHONE CALLS OR WALK-INS PLEASE!  Juniata College invites applicants for a painter position. Under general supervision, will paint, paper, and/or refinish surfaces after appropriate patching and/or preparing.

Essential Job Functions:

• Prepare surfaces for finishing and refinishing including, but not limited to, plaster, spackle, strip, prime, sand, scrape and wash.
• Applies finish to surfaces including, but not limited to, paint, shellac, varnish and wallpaper.
• Responsible for matching paint color to existing, as well as maintaining records of colors, formulas and locations.
• Responsible for proper handling, storage and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Owns and uses personal hand tools.
• Responsible for recording and notifying supervisor of need for elimination of safety hazards.
• Responsible for recording and notifying supervisor of need for any/all building, vehicle and equipment maintenance and repairs. 

Qualifications include: 1. Three years of experience in the painting field or successful completion of the related training program. 2. High school graduate or GED, as well as the ability to read, write and perform basic math. 3. Ability to keep accurate records. 4. Ability to operate all College owned vehicles as well as the boom lift. 5. Ability to push, pull and lift 50lbs regularly. 6. Ability to work on scaffolding, catwalks, and ladders at heights of 20 feet and on a lift at heights of 40 feet with appropriate and safe equipment. 7. Valid PA driver's license.
