Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Director, Pharmacy Channel Solutions Marketing to be located in either Titusville, NJ or Horsham, PA.

Johnson & Johnson’s Patient Engagement and Customer Solutions (PECS) organization is committed to creating a more personalized, seamless, and supportive experiences for patients starting treatments across the Johnson & Johnson portfolio.

The Director, Pharmacy Channel Solutions Marketing is responsible for leading the strategy and program design for the pharmacy channel in assigned therapeutic areas. This includes the engagement of specialty and retail pharmacies, fee for service strategies and programs, and data and technology agreements that support the needs of patients starting or continuing on Johnson & Johnson therapies. You will partner to identify capabilities, partners, technologies, and innovative programming approaches that allow Johnson & Johnson to deliver a best-in-class patient experience through the specialty and retail pharmacy channels. You will lead a team and build strong working relationships with key functions, including brand marketing, patient experience (Px), account management, commercial excellence, supplier management & operations, market access, information technology, procurement, legal, finance, and healthcare compliance.

The Director, Pharmacy Channel Solutions Marketing leads teams in service to our patients. Day-to-day responsibilities for the Director and their team include:

  • Px Strategy & Design: Collaborate with therapeutic area teams, e.g. Immunology, to develop the pharmacy channel multi-generational engagement plan and programming strategy; Use market research, competitive landscapes, voice of patient/customer, and industry trends to inform program design.

  • Pharmacy Px Requirements: Lead development of pharmacy selection criteria and program requirements that align to patient needs and brand objectives; Lead capabilities discussions, RFP process, and contracting in coordination with account management and PECS operations teams.

  • Operational Excellence: Use patient journey analytics, voice of customer, benchmarking, and compliance monitoring to lead continuous optimization of program performance; Ensure pharmacy services optimization with Johnson & Johnson patient solution areas (e.g., Patient Access and Affordability Solutions, FRMs); Engage pharmacies to identify and deploy operational enhancements including training, technology, staffing, and incentives; Share learnings and best practices within the Pharmacy Solutions team and PECS therapeutic areas.

  • Account Management: Partner with national and local account teams to identify pharmacies and emerging intermediaries and identify addressable gaps in patient experience; Influence priorities of account team; Support negotiations and contracting; Participate in quarterly business reviews.

  • Program Operations & Compliance: Accountable for program development and launch with pharmacies in accordance with regulations and internal policy; Secure approval of programs including legal, compliance, and privacy through pricing committee and fair market value processes; Facilitate SOP development, training, and compliance monitoring.

  • Measurement & Reporting : Monitor KPIs that reflect patient needs and brand strategies; Present performance summaries (operational, impact and financial metrics) and strategic recommendations to Px therapeutic area teams.

  • Budgeting: Provide estimates for financial resources to support pharmacy Px strategy in business planning activities; Proactively monitor and manage spend.

  • Strategic Planning: Monitors trends in policy, pharmacy capabilities, pharmacy integration and acquisition, emerging channels, and innovation to inform proactive changes to programs.

  • Teaming: Lead cross-functional business partners in a complex, matrixed environment.

  • Culture: Foster to a culture of learning, smart risk-taking and experimentation within team and through supplier partners.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required; MBA or other related advanced degree is preferred

  • A minimum of 10 years of healthcare business experience is required (e.g., sales, marketing, market access, supply chain, business analytics, account management, pharmacy services)

  • Understanding healthcare industry, access & reimbursement, and specialty & retail pharmacy is required

  • Experience in developing, maintaining, and influencing strategic supplier relationships is required

  • Strong strategy, innovation, collaboration, analytical skills, and overall business acumen is required

  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to work effectively in a matrix and unstructured environment and manage project teams with or without direct report authority is required

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities is required

  • People management experience and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion are required

  • A minimum of 2 years pharmacy program development and management is preferred

  • Experience in Immunology, Oncology, Neuroscience, Pulmonary Hypertension, or Cardiovascular/ Metabolism therapeutic areas is preferred

  • Budget management experience is preferred

  • Travel. This position is based in Titusville, NJ or Horsham, PA and requires up to 10% domestic travel.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is 142000 to 244950.

Bonus Language - The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
