Position Overview and Responsibilities:

Siemens Mobility is seeking to hire its next influential and motivational Account Executive to present business and market strategies to diverse audiences. This position will be responsible for the sales effort and deliver revenue growth as well as the execution of the sales strategy for all rail transit authorities in the Eastern portion of the United States and establish relationships across the signaling and operations organizations. The Account Executive will assist in developing and executing business development strategies as well as marketing / communication plans to identify and address competitive edge, branding, and market awareness. Account Executive will identify, develop, and execute on strategic partnerships and alliances to deliver premier solutions and products. This position will be based in either the New York City Area or in Pittsburgh, PA. Remote work may be available to candidates in the Northeast.

Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Responsible for generating leads, closing sales, and meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting and lead generation.

  • Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.

  • Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.

  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports, including pipeline updates, forecasts, and performance analysis.

  • Continued awareness and communication of market trends, competitor landscape, technology shifts, and political drivers that impact business strategy.

  • Collaborate with Siemens teams to develop and implement sales strategies and promotional activities.

  • Manage customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.

  • Partner with and influence across Siemens' businesses to align models and execute sales strategies in an effective manner.

  • Demonstrate and apply advanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures for area managed and expert knowledge of other areas in the company and how they interact.

  • Provide informative and professional assistance when working with the public/customers and co-workers.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Education

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Rail Transit industry including Signaling/PTC & Network Operations

  • Demonstrated understanding and application of management approaches for work direction, motivation, and performance management.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Excel, and CRM systems.

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret industry and product-related technical information.

  • Ability to travel as required.

  • Demonstrate exceptional oral and written communicative skills.

  • Demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills, even while working under time pressures and constant interruptions.

  • Work well independently and as part of team demonstrating support for team decisions.

  • Understand product offerings and how they relate to the customer/market

  • 7-10 years of successful leadership experience within the Signaling/Rail Automation industry to network with customers

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent sales experience.

The base salary range for this position in New York, NY is $128,900 - $174,000. The base salary range for this position in Pittsburgh, PA is $107,500 - $145,000. This is a commission based sales role with a target bonus of 30%. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
