Under guidance from engineers, Tests prototypes, Devices and other product using standard lab equipment/processes. Maintains records of preliminary schematics and documents test results.

Will work in our Holtsville, NY location 5 days a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Follows established processes to create and test preliminary product assemblies

  • Works from written and verbal descriptions, or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions. Performs operational test and fault isolation on product assemblies and hardware

  • Determines methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. Performs audits and tests of products in development in accordance with test plans and procedures. Debugs and characterizes defects, provides detailed configuration and descriptions for passing and failing tests for product evaluation reports. Identifies actual or potential problems in test plans or company products

  • Records results of tests and maintains lab documentation as required

  • Works on analysis of processes and delivers results to necessary stakeholders

  • Assists product development engineers in the diagnosis and replication of product failures. Analyzes test results and makes recommendations

  • Reviews changes or upgrades to existing designs and ensures testing is completed for each design revision

  • Exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions on assignments

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualification:

  • High School Diploma

  • Must have classes or coursework in engineering

  • 1+ year's technician experience

  • Required to work in our Holtsville, NY location 5 days a week.

    Preferred Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Ability to properly use lab equipment

  • Quantitative and problem solving skills

Salary: USD 42200.00 - USD 63400.00 Yearly

Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
