Flexible Architecture and Simplified Technology, Inc (FAST) seeks a Software Development Engineer in Holmdel, NJ. Duties: Participate and provide leadership in the full lifecycle of software development processes following the Agile scrum methodology. Be a senior resource to junior engineers on the team providing status, receive feedback on current work initiatives, and providing direction for upcoming assignments. [5%] Develop configurable SOA components written in Java or C# .NET framework. Develop webservices based on SOAP and resource centric RESTful design patterns. Use tools like SOAP UI and Postman to facilitate development of webservices. [10%] Develop software automation tooling, FAST 8x, to improve speed of market of enterprise software. Also leverage event driven framework to enhance capability of core product offering.[5%] Develop FAST Insurance Components using database management systems Postgres, SQL Server, and Oracle including development of complex queries and stored procedures.[10%] Application integration with AWS Cloud services like Lambda, Step-function, DMS, etc. to automate the application’s build, batch and database migration process using Python or PowerShell like scripting languages. Use Visual Studio Code, IntelliJ, Eclipse as the development environment. [15%] Develop and release UI test automation framework using Jest, Selenium, and Selenium Grid. Write unit tests using nUnit and postman for web service testing. Author testing documentation to meet stated business requirements. [5%] Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirement. Analyze customer specifications, design functional prototypes and configure business rules using XML, XPATH, XSLT as required to satisfy customer requirements. [10%] Develop and debug application using C# .NET core framework for backend and React framework for frontend. Debug issues using development tools like visual studio and profilers. Use appropriate design pattern including Factory, Singleton, Mediator, and other object-oriented principles to solve problems. [20%] Improve performance and reduce latency of existing application. [10%] Review code written by junior developers assessing code quality and addressing errors and/or flaws in code ensuring code conforms to corporate best practices. Also coordinating work between onshore and offshore developers to achieve delivery targets for sprint and project deliverables. [10%]Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field; plus 2 years of related experience. Requires 2 years of experience in the following: i)SQLServer, Oracle, and Postgres; ii) C#, Java, and JavaScript; iii) Scrum Agile; iv) SOA Architecture and REST API; and v) XML, Xpath, and Xslt.$130,000 to $135,000 per year.
