Job Description

Summary

Loads, unloads, receives, stores, moves, picks, packs and ships materials in the Distribution Center.

2nd Shift 4:00pm - 12:15am Monday - Friday

Salary: $27.55/hour plus $2.00 shift differential

Essential Functions

Pick Tickets Completed

Assembles orders for products to be shipped from the Distribution Center using scanners, carts, forklifts, hand trucks, gaylords, pallets and other shipping materials. Maintains accurate records of the receipt, movement, packing and shipping of materials using computer order, inventory and shipping systems. Moves and restocks pick locations as needed. Checks visually for conformity to packaging standards, removing and appropriately disposing of rejects.

Ticket Items Packed

Stages, packages, palletizes and prepares orders for shipment. Ship confirms daily shipments via the JDE system. Inspects area to ensure all packaging supplies are appropriately stocked to ensure completion of work.

Trucks Loaded & Unloaded

Loads and unloads materials on the shipping and receiving docks. Receives product via the BPCS system. Expedites inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery.

Cycle Counts Completed

Conducts cycle counts and inventory counts to insure against loss of product. Performs periodic inventory audits.

Distribution area Audit Ready

Keeps all areas clean and free of debris. Performs all functions according to cGMPs, SOPs.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent

Experience:

Requires over 1 year up to and including 3 years (with at least 1 year of distribution experience and fork lift certification) in order to gain sufficient skill to perform the requirements of the position under minimal supervision. Computer operating experience preferred.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

Requires basic knowledge of arithmetic, spelling, English, grammar and knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Other Skills/Competencies:

  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions furnished in written and oral form and deal with problems involving standardized situations.

  • Perform the basic functions of arithmetic; add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure.

  • Perform reading, writing and speaking at a basic level.

  • Basic computer skills to perform the packaging and shipping functions
