SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The position is responsible for coordinating the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of the accounting records supporting the financial statements for the Academic and Community Practices in collaboration with Shared Services and specifically serving as a dyad partner to the Director of Finance PennState Health Medical Group. This includes coordination with clinical operations to ensure completeness of revenues and expenditures associated with operating activities. Additionally, the position will facilitate, educate, and provide continuous support of the Academic and Community Practice operations on the system standard processes, protocols and polices surrounding revenue cycle, and expenditure cycle activities to ensure integrity of the financial records. The position will provide support compliance processes associated with cost reporting and CMS rules and regulations as required. Lastly, the position is responsible for educating operational leaders on the use and understanding of standard reporting, inclusive of monthly operating statements, budget-to-actual analyses, trending reports, and overseeing/validating the accuracy of reported KPIs and external benchmarks. Such rigor will be designed to afford operators with the information needed to develop appropriate action plans designed to achieve desired financial outcomes. The position will serve as a primary conduit for operations relating to financial reporting matters and will coordinate across the broader finance team the resources and plans to address operational questions involving financial accounting and reporting matters. The position will organize the resources and manage the team to ensure that these outcomes are consistently achieved.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (4 years)

• Minimum seven (7) years of functional financial experience in healthcare finance leadership, physician practice management, and/or healthcare operations.

• Minimum five (5) years of management experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

• Master’s degree or certification as a CPA, CMA, CPAM, CHFM
