 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage maintenance tickets, ensuring timely resolution of issues and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs or maintenance tasks, supervising their work to ensure standards are met.
  • Perform multifaceted maintenance duties such as changing light bulbs, cleaning up spills, hanging mirrors or paper towel dispensers, setting up events, etc.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and time spent.
  • Inspect facilities regularly to identify potential issues and recommend improvements.
  • Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
  • Order supplies and parts as needed, coordinating with vendors to ensure timely delivery.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Provide support during emergency situations, including after-hours calls.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff on break/fix solutions.
  • Maintain assigned work areas, facilities shop, storage areas, and mechanical rooms in a clean, organized, and safe condition at all times.
  • Seek clarification when job specifications, methods, or directions are unclear.
  • Always follow all safety rules and regulations and utilize personal protective equipment as required in designated areas.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

     QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 12 months general maintenance experience required. Experience with trades or construction is highly preferred. 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to address and resolve issues effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail required. 
  • Computer skills required: Microsoft Office, CMMS, Inventory Management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Mechanical skills and knowledge of safe hand and power tool use.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Mechanical and mathematical aptitude is a plus. This roll often prepares an individual to take on additional duties and responsibilities, furthering their growth within the organization.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder.
