If so, PennDOT is looking for individuals like you! The Driver and Vehicle Services department is currently in search of a Transportation Community Relations Coordinator 2 to join their team. DESCRIPTION OF WORK The role involves providing support to high-ranking officials such as the Secretary, Deputy Secretary, and Bureau Directors within PennDOT's Driver and Vehicle Services department. This support includes managing both internal and external communication efforts to ensure that PennDOT's key messages on safety, customer service, cost savings, and quality of life are effectively communicated to stakeholders.

Furthermore, the position is responsible for overseeing all information and communications related to the Driver & Vehicle Deputate, acting as the primary spokesperson for statewide driver and vehicle services in connection to PennDOT. This role also involves supervising a team of communication professionals, including a Transportation Community Relations Coordinator I and an Administrative Assistant, to ensure that communication strategies are implemented effectively.

Additionally, the position involves developing and executing comprehensive public information and education campaigns that are specifically tailored to address the needs of different target audiences. These campaigns are designed to promote the Deputate's programs, products, and services in a way that enhances visibility and engagement with the public.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment. Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. This position is eligible for Alternate Work Schedule (AWS). Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Two years of experience as a Transportation Community Relations Coordinator 1; or Four years of public relations experience promoting programs through mass media, or community organizing experience; and a bachelor's degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training Additional Requirements:

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
