Commonwealth of Pennsylvania HVAC Refrigeration Technician in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

We are seeking a dependable individual to assist in the maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration systems at the Farm Show Complex and managed facilities. DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role, you will assist in the oversight of the system which provides heating and cooling to the Farm Show Complex using gas-fired hot water boilers, gas-fired hot air systems, heat pump and chilled water systems, and DX air conditioning systems accessed manually or through the HVAC BAS computer controls. In this leadership position, you will supervise other staff and help train them.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 40-hours per week The work schedule for this position is 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM during heating season and 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM during cooling season with possible evening hours required based on show schedule. This position is considered essential and as such is required to report to working during emergencies and office closings. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Successful completion of the HVAC and Building Automation Technician trainee program (commonwealth title); or Three years of experience in the maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC and refrigeration systems, units, and equipment including one year working with commercial or industrial HVAC or refrigeration equipment and controls; or An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes one year working with commercial or industrial HVAC or refrigeration equipment and controls.

Special Requirements: All employees must obtain EPA Universal Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification from an approved provider within 6 months of employment.
