Reference #: 1309 Position: Health, Safety and Security Specialist (LHT) Department: Environmental, Safety & Occupational Health, Lucknow-Highspire Terminals Location: Middletown, PA

Position Summary This position is specific to our Lucknow-Highspire Terminals LLC (LHT) business. The Health, Safety and Security Specialist's duties will focus on maintaining compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA and Coast Guard regulations at LHT's locations. Activities will include the implementation and oversight of the safety program, coordination of employee training and drills, and management of numerous plans based on applicable regulations. Occasional travel within Pennsylvania is required.

Responsibilities Develop and provide ongoing OSHA compliance training to all employees and maintain all records. Maintain a working knowledge of both new and existing regulations through the review of periodicals, seminar attendance, and the use of consultants. Implement injury reporting for the purpose of investigation and reduction of injuries. Maintain an emergency evacuation program in the event of fire, explosion, etc. Act as primary 24-hour emergency coordinator for onsite events involving the fire department and/or emergency management agency. Identify potential causes for accidents and recommend changes in policies and procedures to prevent accidents and illness. Investigate accidents and prepares accident reports.

Experience & Education: Bachelors Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering or related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and education. 5+ years in a Health & Safety role. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is preferred. Qualifications: Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with regulators, managers, and cross-functional teams across the organization. Ability to multi-task, prioritize daily workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. Results oriented, accountable. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to work as a team member. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and/or holidays
