DESCRIPTION OF WORK

A Facility Services Manager 2 plans, organizes, directs, and supervises, in-house maintenance repairmen, and contracted personnel, accomplishing repairs and replacement of parts or preventive maintenance throughout the building. You will be responsible for working with and monitoring contractors completing repairs, construction, or renovations to interior or exterior of buildings, keeps informed of projects and notifying management as needed. This includes daily building inspections to ensure custodial, environmental control, and maintenance standards are achieved and that all deficiencies are cited. This position also plans, develops, and coordinates the specifications and requirements for contracts in coordination with the Bureau of Facilities Management and the Bureau of Real Estate and serves as the Building Recycling Coordinator.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. This position is essential, you will be required to work during emergencies and office closings. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Facility Services Manager 1 (commonwealth title); or Five years of routine maintenance work experience which includes three years of supervisory experience overseeing trades or building maintenance employees in a commercial or industrial facility; or An associate's degree in commercial property management, commercial real estate, industrial technology, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), electrical technology, electronics, building automation, construction, or related fields; and three years of supervisory experience overseeing trades or building maintenance employees in a commercial or industrial facility; or An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes three years of supervisory experience overseeing trades or building maintenance employees in a commercial or industrial facility. Special Requirement: This position requires possession of a valid Class C non-commercial Driver's License. Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions.
