Reference #: 4563149 THE POSITION Are you passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion topics? Have you had experience gathering information and fostering compromises? Look no further; the Department of Transportation is looking for a candidate with a background in diversity, equity, and inclusion programs to oversee its internal Council on Inclusive Excellence. DESCRIPTION OF WORK The Equity and Inclusion Program Manager will oversee the Council on Inclusive Excellence, which is comprised of several subcommittees all working to examine and improve Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) practices within PennDOT. This position facilitates subcommittee discussions, tracks their recommendations, and works collaboratively with a wide range of participants to develop training and tools related to DEIB practices.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as an Administrative Officer 3 (Commonwealth title); or Six years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four-year college or university; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training. Additional Requirements:

Must have two or more years of experience in managing a diversity, equity, and inclusion program. Must have one or more years of experience in leading a committee or subcommittee. Must have one or more years of experience in writing comprehensive analytical reports on a specific program you managed. You must be able to perform essential job functions. Preferred Criteria (not required):

One or more years of experience in the development of training materials that does not include the customization of off the shelf products One or more years of experience in recruiting activities that utilized specific diversity goals.

This position is not subject to the provisions of a collective bargaining agreement or memorandum of understanding.
