DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Bureau of Facility Design and Construction is currently seeking a skilled Environmental Engineer to join their team in the Sanitary and Water Management section. In this role, you will be responsible for providing design, review, oversight, and management of various water, wastewater, and bathing place projects. Additionally, you will be involved in project management and coordination of infrastructure projects for the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, working closely with consultants to ensure successful project delivery. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the improvement of water and sanitation systems while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. This position does require travel for routine field world and occasional overnight travel. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 5 days in a 10 day period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Four years of professional experience in environmental engineering, and possession of a valid Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; or Three years of professional experience in environmental engineering, and possession of a valid Professional Engineer license issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; or Two years as an Environmental Engineering Specialist; or Three years of professional experience in environmental engineering, and a bachelor's degree in environmental engineering or in any engineering field that includes or is supplemented by 9 credits in environmental engineering; or Graduate study in environmental engineering or in a closely related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. Conditions of Employment:

This position requires possession of a valid Class C driver's license. Other Requirements: PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title. You must be able to perform essential job functions. Veterans:
