L&A Tent Rentals Delivery & Equipment Set-Up Helper in Hamilton, New Jersey
L.A. Tent Rentals, Inc DBA L&A Tent Rentals, Inc. (200 Whitehead Road Suite #100, Hamilton, NJ 08619) needs twelve(12) temporary (full-time, 40 hours per week) Delivery & Equipment Set-up Helper Mercer, Burlington, Bucks, and Hunterdon from 3/24/2025 - 11/28/2025. Will offer a wage of $20.66/hr. Overtime may be available at $30.99/hr. The employee will be tasked with assisting with the loading, unloading, and delivery of various pieces of rental equipment including but not limited to various forms of tents, lighting, flooring, staging, liners, sidewalls and entrances, furniture, heating, fans, air conditioning, and even tent decorations, as ordered for the special event. The helpers will use various pieces equipment such as hand carts, pallet jacks and dollies to assist in the delivery and set-up of the equipment. The various worksites will include, but will not be limited to wedding locations universities, schools, business events, fair grounds, high-end residences, restaurant, and hospital. The Helper must be able to lift 50lbs alone, and 75-100lbs, assisted. They must have the ability to sit, stand, and walk, for prolonged periods of time. General working hours are 10 hours per day with 1/2 hour lunch break, with some days being shorter. Worker will work a minimum of 40 hours per week, with the opportunity for overtime. Standard work week is Monday through Friday 7:00am to 4:00pm, with Saturday 7:00am to 2:00pm as needed. Hours & Start/End times may vary. L&A Tent Rental will provide workers with T-shirts, hard hats, gloves, and PPE, at no cost, with a $75.00 allowance to all employees for boots. Drug testing will be conducted randomly, or upon suspect of use during working hours. No education required. One-month of similar work experience required. Employer provides required tools/equipment at no charge. Employer provides transportation to and from all work sites. Optional employer arranged housing available at a weekly payroll deduction for up to $125/week. For certified periods of employment lasting 120 days or more: The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages. Workers will be paid weekly. Employer will make all deductions from the worker’s paychecks required by law. Employer will reimburse the H-2B worker in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker (excluding passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker).
