Must possess Master's in Social Work; Knowledge of crisis intervention and prevention strategies and mental health issues; Ability to provide therapeutic assistance for students with severe emotional and behavioral needs; Make home visits as needed; Knowledge of teaching strategies for pro-social skill lessons, I Care lessons, bullying prevention; Ability to facilitate student groups focusing on divorce, friendship, family loss issues; Provide mandated counseling to special education students; Perform counseling evaluations; Investigate and address attendance and residency issues; Report suspected cases of child abuse and neglect; Assist students and families in crisis and provide assistance as needed. Medicaid students may be assigned. Possession of Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred.
