Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Grove City, Pennsylvania
Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity in Grove City, Pennsylvania, for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will be tasked with overseeing various financial functions, including financial reporting, audit/compliance, and strategic planning. Additionally, your role will include supervisory duties, process improvement, and budgeting.
Responsibilities
• Oversee and supervise the creation of financial reports, consolidating financial data for decision-making efficiency.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, journal entries, and the reconciliation process.
• Aid in the creation of monthly and annual operating budgets, aligning them with organizational goals.
• Provide leadership for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions, training finance team members as needed.
• Evaluate accounting processes for compliance with legal requirements, recommending improvements to internal controls and accounting software.
• Develop financial strategies, monitor business performance metrics, and prepare cost reports for external agencies.
• Supervise accounts receivable and payable activities, including quality checks, process improvements, and training, reporting directly to the CFO.
• Uphold confidentiality, attend required meetings, and support the department with various finance-related tasks as assigned.
• Use your proficiency in Accounting Functions, Auditing, NetSuite, Account Analysis, Compliance reporting, Financial Reporting, Microsoft Excel, Monthly Closings, Year End Closings to ensure efficient operations.
Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably as an Accounting Manager or Supervisor.
• Proficiency in overseeing all accounting functions, including but not limited to, account analysis, monthly closings, and year-end closings.
• Demonstrable experience in auditing, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of all financial documents and procedures.
• Proficient with NetSuite, leveraging its features and tools to streamline and optimize accounting operations.
• Strong skills in compliance reporting, with the ability to identify and rectify any discrepancies or issues.
• Experience in financial reporting, capable of developing comprehensive reports for senior management.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and other complex functions.
• Ability to manage and execute monthly closings and year-end closings, ensuring all accounting tasks are completed within set deadlines.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
