THIEL COLLEGE Adjunct Professor of Chemistry and Physics in Greenville, Pennsylvania

The Thiel College Department of Chemistry and Physics seeks to hire a temporary, fixed-term, part-time adjunct professor to teach a course intended for nursing students that will be offered during the fall semester of 2024.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Chem 130, Chemistry for the Health Sciences, which is a four credit-hour course that includes three hours of lecture and three-hour laboratory session each week. This course broadly covers general, organic, and biochemistry in one semester, focusing on topics relevant to nursing students. It provides a solid foundation in chemical principles underlying the science education of students in the BSN program offered at Thiel College.

This position provides a wonderful opportunity to make a positive impact on future health care professionals.  We seek candidates with previous experience teaching organic and biochemistry in a higher education setting, preferably those with experience teaching chemistry courses specifically focused for nursing students.  Preference will be given to candidates who have earned or are working toward advanced degrees in chemistry (Master's or PhD).
