Aerotek Maintenance Technician in Greensburg, Pennsylvania
Job Title: Maintenance Technician $25-30/hr
Job Description
Perform routine inspections, tests, and preventive maintenance on facility equipment, including HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, lighting, and machinery. Identify potential issues before they escalate and schedule preventive maintenance activities. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within the facility. Respond to maintenance requests promptly to minimize downtime and ensure equipment operates efficiently. Maintain the physical integrity of the building, including performing basic carpentry, painting, and general facility repairs. Ensure a clean and safe working environment by keeping tools, materials, and work areas in order. Maintain adequate levels of maintenance supplies, parts, and equipment. Track inventory usage and coordinate with the purchasing department for restocking materials. Respond to emergency maintenance requests and provide timely solutions to ensure the safety of personnel and minimize production interruptions. Diagnose and correct hazardous conditions and malfunctions promptly. Work closely with the manufacturing team to support production needs and minimize downtime. Provide support for facility upgrades, modifications, and new installations as required. Document daily activities, work order resolution, equipment maintenance, and repair activities.
Responsibilities

Essential Skills
Solid knowledge of HVAC systems, boiler systems, software, settings, and specific controls.
Minimum of 3 years of commercial/industrial experience.
Familiarity with steam boiler systems, chillers, and both antiquated and automated equipment.
Comfortable working with heights.
Knowledge of safety protocols, including PPE (e.g., steel-toed boots, hearing protection, respiratory protection).
HAZWOPER training and experience with tools in-house (e.g., machine shop).
Expertise in boilers, controls, and familiarity with software for diagnostics, settings, and troubleshooting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Self-starter attitude essential—candidates should work independently while supporting the maintenance supervisor and engineering team as part of a larger group.
Experience with chemical mixing, CNC work, and general manufacturing processes.

Work Environment
The position primarily involves a Monday to Friday schedule, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with occasional overtime, including some Saturdays and Sundays. There are monthly maintenance shutdown days (typically longer days, including weekends), and potential weekday shutdowns due to equipment failure. There is no formal on-call requirement; however, if the boiler fails, a call would trigger 4 hours of paid work. The work environment includes a manufacturing and building setting, requiring clear communication to ensure availability for maintenance needs 24/7 as part of the facilities team.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $60320.00/yr.
