About the position:

Performs a wide variety of complex assignments involving diagnostics and repairs in areas that may include, but not limited to: machining, carpentry, floor repair, electricity, electronics, telecommunications, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, grounds keeping, etc. Performs work under minimal supervision. Handles moderately complex issues and refers more complex issues to others.

You will:

  • Perform general building maintenance
  • Snow removal
  • Perform light custodial duties
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
  • Routine inspections/maintenance of fire pump, emergency lights, dock levelers, Etc.
  • Update maintenance schedule through data entry.
  • Assist Facilities Project team contractor coordination and interface with outside contractors.
  • Take a leadership role on special projects.
  • Order spare parts/supplies
  • Support the Company’s 5S program in an effort to maintain work area, equipment and supplies in a neat, organized manner.
  • Recommend changes to outdated or ineffective procedures through the kaizen process.
  • Support Toyota Production System (TPS) driven processes and activities.
  • May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to others.
  • Performs related work as assigned.
  • Regular attendance in the workplace is required for interaction with others and to support teamwork.

About the schedule:

This position is 1st shift and will work 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

About the work environment:

Works in a factory setting. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in accordance with Company policy. For forklift operation, required to obtain and maintain Forklift Driver Certification through the Company and operate the forklift in a safe manner. Required to stand for long periods of time and manually lift/move/manipulate parts up to 50 pounds or use cranes/hoists to move heavier materials. Temperatures may be extreme; elevated in the summer, cold in the winter. Needs to be able to cope with stressors and demands that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable and defined levels of performance are maintained.

About you:

  • A two-year Technical Trade School is preferred.
  • Two or more years of related experience is required.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or commercial environment is preferred.
  • May be required to possess a license/certification in accordance with state or local regulations.
  • Requires ability to work independently and with others
  • Requires good communication skills.
  • Requires broad troubleshooting skills to diagnose and complete repairs.
  • Requires a high level of attention to detail with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Broad working knowledge of building layouts, blueprints, trade tools, and utility and/or environment equipment is required.
  • Requires basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

About the total compensation package:

Wage - $19.72 - $28.11 per hour. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience.
