How will you make an impact?

The Manufacturing Technician will operate a variety of processing and packaging equipment to manufacture cell culture media in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices. In this position, you will encounter recurring work situations with minimal complexity and is encouraged to be a proactive team member. As a technician, you will work on assignments with mentorship of senior team members as well.

What will you do?

In this role, the candidate of choice will operate equipment in order including mixers, mills, blenders, pumps, filtration systems, etc. Other responsibilities will include, but not limited to, weighing, measuring, and checking raw materials with assistance of computer interface to assure batches manufactured contain accurate materials and quantities, sampling and testing.

How will you get here?

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience

  • No scientific experience vital.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Ability to interpret data, perform basic calculations, and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to stand for 80% of the shift, move 40 lbs up one flight of stairs, and push 55 gallon drums on wheeled dollies.

  • Ability to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including work uniform, steel toe shoes, hair net, safety glasses, bump cap, and nitrile gloves. PPE may also include face shield, respirator, and smock.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $14.05–$21.08.
