ABOUT THE POSITION

This role is temporary, but offers valuable experience, and the chance to be part of the exciting rebranding of our Company. This is a great first step on the banking career ladder--many of our temporary positions lead to full-time roles, with a significant number of career paths available at our main campus in Glens Falls. The Temporary Call Center Specialist serves as primary point of contact to handle incoming customer calls during the rebranding transition period and is responsible for providing superior customer service through every interaction and collaborating with other departments to serve customers. This Position could be 19, 25 or 40 hours a week from June 23,2025 until the end of August 2025. With some flexibility on the end date.

Essential Job Functions

️ Field incoming customer service calls and electronic communications referencing knowledge of Company operations, products, services, unification, and programs.

️ Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Company policies by adhering to procedures.

️ Research and resolve customer inquiries at first point of contact; collaborate with departments and follow-up to ensure satisfactory resolution for customer.

️ File documents manually and electronically based on established criteria.

Education/Certifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent required

1 year of experience in financial institution or call center environment preferred

Skills/Knowledge:

Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal; comfortable communicating with customers, co-workers, and management

Exceptional customer service skills, and ability to utilize active listening techniques to identify customer needs while on the telephone and using other technology simultaneously

Ability to accurately and efficiently complete tasks/projects, handle multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including: Word, Excel, and Outlook; strong computer skills with ability to learn new programs as initiated

Other:

Ability to work rotating shifts Monday through Sunday
