Heritage Ministries is in growth mode and currently seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support the delivery of quality services and the financial goals and objectives of the organization by ensuring accurate billing, timely Submission of claims, monitoring claim status, researching rejections and Denials, documenting related account activities, posting adjustments and collections of Medicare, Managed Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Medicaid, commercial insurance and Hospice payers.

Responsibilities:

· Responsible for charge entry within Electronic Medical Records.

· Prepare, review, and transmit accurate claims timely.

· Follow up on claims submitted to ensure timely and accurate payment and escalate issues, as necessary.

· Evaluate payments/denials received for accuracy and ensure they are applied to accounts accordingly.

· Research and resolve rejected and denied claims.

· Identify overpayments, underpayments, and duplicate payments. Investigate and resolve accordingly

· Post payments and adjustments to resident accounts accurately.

· Perform Month End tasks as assigned, timely and accurately.

· Assist with billing audit related information

· Responsible for meeting KPIs.

Qualifications:

· Minimum of two years’ experience in Medical Billing or related experience.

· Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement methodologies, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.

· Ability to learn quickly, build and maintain long term relationships and work with minimal supervision.

· Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and handle stressful situations.

· Strong Critical thinking skills.
