Job Summary

Are you ready to take on a unique opportunity as a Sr. Catering Supervisor? CulinArt Group- a member of Compass Group USA, a world-class company in the food and hospitality industry, is seeking a driven and proven professional to join our team in Garden City, NY.

As a Senior Catering Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the set-up of corporate events, ensuring impeccable service to clients during off-site occasions, and collaborating closely with the Catering Sales Manager. Your strong leadership abilities will be instrumental in delivering events that consistently meet our exceptional service and quality benchmarks.

As a Sr. Catering Supervisor, you will be responsible for assisting the Catering Department in all duties including overseeing corporate event set up, advising and directing any temporary personnel in addition to everyday assignments. Additionally, you will ensure proper service to clients during off site events, including proper set-up, cleaning, and breakdown procedures, and will work alongside the Catering Sales Manager.

Must be flexible including on evenings and weekends based on event schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervises and leads a team of associates to successfully execute events meeting expected service and quality standards.

  • Assists in checking set-ups for regular and special events.

  • Ensures client and customer satisfaction.

  • Assists in staging catering equipment and beverage for daily events.

  • Breaks down events and returns venue to original condition by removing all food, beverage, equipment and garbage.

  • Maintains QA/HAACP standards and procedures.

  • Maintains clean and safe work environment; performs job safely.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of catering food service experience, preferably in a lead or supervisory catering role.

  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.

  • Experience in catering events and working with event orders is helpful.

  • Must be highly organized and able to effectively multi-task.

  • Experience in supervising and training associates and temporary personnel is helpful.

  • Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.

  • Associate’s degree is preferred.
