JOB SUMMARY:

Adelphi University's Biology Department is looking for a dedicated individual to lead a Cancer Biology lecture course for the upcoming Spring 2025 semester ( January 23 to May 19, 2025 ) . This position is an excellent opportunity for experts who wish to impart knowledge and inspire both seniors and graduate students in the challenging and rewarding field of cancer biology.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Teach BIO658: Cancer Biology geared toward seniors and graduate (MS) students.

  • Utilize an existing syllabus with the freedom to adapt and enhance it based on personal expertise and interests.

  • Engage students with both theoretical knowledge and practical insights to prepare them for advanced careers or studies in cancer research.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A doctoral degree in Biology, Cancer Biology, or a closely related field.

  • Demonstrable expertise and a working knowledge of cancer biology.

  • Strong communication skills and a proven track record in teaching at the higher education level.

  • Ability to inspire and motivate students while fostering a collaborative and inclusive educational environment.

    SALARY INFORMATION:

    In compliance with New York’s Pay Transparency Act, the salary for this position is $1,732 per credit.
