Summary: Cutting and Preparing Materials for Product Assembly. Maximizing material yieldand minimizing material waste. Must be able to follow organizational procedures to ensurequality of products while continually meeting production goals.Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.1. Reads and understands in-house work orders, prints or verbal orders.2. Properly measures and double checks information prior to cutting materials to avoidmistakes.3. Stands for long periods of time.4. Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines.5. Selects proper materials for each job. Use off-cuts whenever possible6. Organizes off-cut materials.7. Cuts down off-cuts to useable sizes.8. Performs quality control check on material used for jobs.9. Maintains, keeps track and reports inventory levels to Production Manager.10. Helps Shipping / Receiving by loading, unloading and stocking materials and finishedproducts.11. Uses cutting equipment and hand tools including: double mitered saws, table saws,under-pinners, belt and disc sanders, drill press, hand held motorized grinders, screwmachine wire brushes, scrapers, files and other related tools.12. Reports any material or equipment issues to production manager.13. Performs maintenance on equipment, tools, gauges, and materials in a clean, orderlyand safe manner.14. Complies with company policies and procedures giving special attention to safetyregulations.15. Performs end of day maintenance duties in assigned areas.16. Cleans up and shuts down equipment each day.17. Performs other related duties as assigned and contributes to overall team effort asneeded.
