Robert Half 3PL Brokerage Ops Manager in Freehold, New Jersey

Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a 3PL Brokerage Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in brokerage operations, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering superior customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of brokerage specialists, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and professional development.

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the brokerage division, ensuring efficient execution of shipments and transactions.

  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline processes and maximize productivity.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and preferences to deliver tailored logistics solutions.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and proactively communicating updates.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in 3PL brokerage operations, with a demonstrated progression of increasing responsibility.

  • LTL carrier operations, pricing, and industry terminology knowledge.

  • TMS experience and knowledge.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding operational targets and KPIs.
