The State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Frackville is seeking an individual skilled with electronically controlled equipment and internal security to join our team. The work you accomplish in this position will ensure the safety and security of employees, inmates, and visitors. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Corrections Locksmith, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of mechanically, electronically, and pneumatically controlled equipment used to open, close, and lock doors and gates at SCI Frackville. Your duties will include installing, maintaining, and repairing new, existing, or inoperable locks and associated mechanisms. You will perform routine and preventative maintenance checks to ensure equipment is operating properly. You can expect to produce original and duplicate keys from blanks, log broken and damaged keys, and make necessary adjustments to master and issued key sets. Additionally, you will oversee inmates in the performance of non-security related tasks, such as moving materials, hanging doors, and repairing door closures.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 40 hours per week Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Two years of experience in the locksmith trade; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Additional Requirement:

You must successfully complete basic training in Elizabethtown, PA. You must be able to perform essential job functions. Legal Requirement:
