Assembler - Tymetal Corp. - Fort Edward, NY Location

Tymetal Corp. has an immediate opening for an Assembler who is passionate about equipment and machinery and takes a tremendous amount of pride in his or her work. The Assembler is responsible for many aspects of the aluminum crash gate assembly process, including the cutting of materials, wiring and drilling for the assembly of the finished product. The Assembler will also assist in the transportation of materials and the packing of the finished product for shipment. Basic knowledge of mechanical systems is preferred.

*This is a second shift position. The schedule is Monday through Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• One or more years of equipment assembly or repair experience in a manufacturing, farming or industrial environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities with little or no supervision.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and follow verbal instructions.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Attention to detail and strong planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and carry as well as push and pull weights of up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to access equipment at various levels by reaching or climbing a ladder, bend over, walk, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.
