CACI is looking for an experienced Network Engineering Lab Support person to join our Cybersecurity Solutions and Engineering (CSE) team, within the National Security & Innovative Solutions sector.

As the Network Lab Support Engineer, you will perform a variety of computer network and other equipment setup and maintenance tasks to implement a laboratory environment (hardware and software infrastructure) that fosters the success of CSE. You will provide technical support and serve the needs of the program engineering teams that utilize the labs for applied research and technology in an advanced networking and communication organization that supports U.S. Government DoD, Civilian, and Advanced Programs communities.

In this role, you will support CSE’s engineering team on all networking and lab requirements. This requires learning and understanding CSE’s engineering workflows.

Main Duties for the role:

  • Create, update, and edit status of requests daily to keep CSE staff and leadership informed.

  • Work with the engineering and management teams to deploy custom tooling solutions for our internal development environment.

  • Provide ongoing administrative lab computer support to include administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Windows, Linux, and Mac machines.

  • Perform user administration including coordinating access controls with users, program leads, and management, and providing password resets.

  • Create and maintain documents containing policies and procedures.

  • Perform network administration including performing configuration of routers, switches (e.g. VLAN, DMZ, LAG).

  • Handling, assembling, and installing equipment (rack and stack).

  • Maintain and support development infrastructure including deploying servers. Setup and maintain licenses for apps, servers, etc. Manage license lifecycle and upgrades for all supported labs.

  • Perform debugging, and corrective actions (e.g. recover failed disks).

  • Implement container and virtualization platforms, including set up and administration of virtual machines spanning UNIX, LINUX, WINDOWS operating systems.

  • Willingness and ability to quickly learn new technologies.

  • Maintain system backups and configuration backups for lab infrastructure and systems.

  • Inventory and asset tracking.

  • Troubleshooting and triage of networks and interconnected systems.

  • Serve as a liaison between CSE and other non-CSE lab IT teams.

  • Support the design of new labs and rearchitecting of existing labs per program requirements.

  • Support implementation of system controls in coordination with CACI information systems security team.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Skills required to perform the duties and responsibilities mentioned above.

  • Understanding of Configuration Management— keeping an accurate inventory/record keeping of all components within the network and maintain version control for all hardware and software.

  • Application administration, support, and tool/script development on Atlassian JIRA/Confluence, Gitlab Ultimate, SharePoint, etc.

  • In depth knowledge of Linux: RedHat, CentOS, Debian, etc.

  • Experience provisioning network switches (L2/L3) and routers, and working knowledge of VLANs and routing protocols.

  • Experience with supporting a cyber compliant network.

  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity requirements from DoD/Gov’t agencies.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Excellent customer service skills: includes product knowledge, communication and listening, problem-solving, professionalism, action-oriented task management (multi-tasking), and confidence.

  • Must have good work ethics and show diligence in work performed.

  • Must take initiative / ownership of customer requirements and tasks.

  • Knowledge of IT system processes involving requirements definition, analysis, design, implementation, test, and support of hardware, software, networks, security, and life-cycle support.

Education:

  • Associates degree in Engineering, IT, or a related field and 2 years of related experience; or 4-6 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, skills and related experience.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience in setting up network PMEs (Program Management Enclave) in a CISGO SGT network.

  • Experience provisioning optical networking equipment (OTN and legacy technologies).

  • Experience with AC and DC power systems.

  • Experience with: Tenable Security Center (Nessus), McAfee ePO agents for Windows and Linux, Splunk logging.

  • NIST 800-171 implementation and maintenance experience

  • DFARS implementation and maintenance experience

  • CompTIA A+, Network+, RHCSA

  • CCNA or equivalent

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$60,100 - $123,300
