Hybrid Research Librarian/Document Control Specialist
Job Summary
Location: Trevose, PA
Shift: M-F 8-5PM
Hybrid: 2-3 days in office, other days remote work from home
Hourly Pay Rate: $35-$40 depending on experience
This is a long term fully benefitted contract role with PTO, paid holidays, medical vision and dental insurance
Job Description
In this role, you will
Enable access to information resources, journals, ebooks, databases, standards etc.
Liaison with suppliers, identify and deploy most cost-efficient access options
Manage subscriptions to different publishers by monitoring usage and guiding decisions on renewal / retiral of an information resource as needed
Respond to enquiries about subscriptions and e-access
Resolve subscription-related enquiries concerning journals supply and e-access and deal pro-actively with any problems as they arise.
Implement new and evolving methods for knowledge management in the digital age.
Work with vendors on contract negotiation and payment options
Coordinate with the marketing communication team on their needs and analyses
Serve as a specialist for reference and materials, or cataloging and classification, in a subject field(s) or special collection(s).
Coordinates and collaborates with the team to create, curate, audit, and maintain database of internal research reports, external publications and knowledge articles
Create and maintain periodic newsletter
Provide copyright guidance and clearance on need basis
Work with other teams to design and manage workflows and processes
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering
Degree in Library Science, Information Science
Experience working with online services and managing subscriptions
Desired Characteristics
Experience working as part of Global Teams
Experience managing external vendors
Experience managing budgets and contracts/licenses.
Strong understanding and knowledge of operations and vendor management
Strong written and oral communication Skills
Computer Savvy, Proficient with Microsoft Office Tools (including SharePoint, BI)
