Job Summary: This position will join a centralized European cost accounting team located with West's Financial Services team in Dublin, Ireland.  You will be responsible for the accounting across multiple manufacturing sites including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare journal entries related to manufacturing accounting and inventory reserves to support accurate & timely financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and corporate financial policies Process manufacturing orders as part of the month-end close process Participate in other monthly close activities for plants in area of responsibility Prepare account reconciliations to ensure proper balance sheet valuation, flagging and accounting for potential risk Calculate annual and ad hoc standard costing of products in SAP for assigned plant/s including reviewing and ensuring the update of BOMs, Routings, SKFs and Activity Rates Monitor variances to standard cost and correct any erroneous postings Margin variance analysis (including PPV, Production and Absorption variances) Support the periodic cycle count process and reconcile 3rd party warehouses Drive consistency and standardization of cost accounting in line with Corporate Policies Finance lead for UAT testing of costing processes as required Finance lead on process improvement projects related to costing of materials Provide finance guidance aligned to the preparation of customer pricing simulations, financial analysis and modelling Ensure appropriate controls and compliance with US GAAP Support and assist other functions within the business as required Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business with concentration in Accounting/Finance Experience: 5-8 years of experience Preferred Qualifications: Accounting experience, preferable in a manufacturing environment using SAP or other ERP Understanding of GAAP and internal control principles High proficiency in Microsoft Excel Accounting Qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) Travel Requirements: 10% Physical & Mental Requirements: Position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
